On July 08-09-10 we had a great field trip to the Devil’s Cave. The goal of this trip was to collect Terrestrial LiDAR (TLS) data of the touristic sector of the cave.
On July 08-09-10 we had a great field trip to the Devil’s Cave. The goal of this trip was to collect Terrestrial LiDAR (TLS) data of the touristic sector of the cave.
On March 28th and April 3rd we had two nice field trips to the “Garcia Garden” quarry. The goal was to acquire images with our drone to create a 3D model of the wall. The model will be used by Camila and Fernanda to determine the attitude (dip direction, dip) of fracture systems and later these will be compared with values obtained in the field.
Thanks to Dean Attali, SPALab now has a website. This is still an early draft, and more sections and material will be added over the weeks to come. Thanks are extended to RECON (The R Epidemics Consortium), since their site was used as an example to set up this one.
Today Mariana presented her Bachelor degree final paper!
After a year of hard work both in the field and in the office, she made an excellent presentation of her work and the evaluation committee was very happy with the results, giving her the second highest grade of the class (9.7 out of 10.0)!.
